هدف: پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی نقش واسطه‌ای خودمهارگری در رابطه بین تجارب آسیب‌زای دوران کودکی و ولع مصرف مواد در بیماران تحت درمان نگهدارنده با متادون انجام شد. روش: روش پژوهش توصیفی-همبستگی از نوع مدل معادلات ساختاری بود. جامعه آماری شامل بیماران وابسته به مواد تحت درمان با متادون مراجعه کننده به مراکز ترک اعتیاد شهر کوچصفهان در سال 1402 بود که از این میان 300 نفر به شیوه نمونه‌گیری در دسترس انتخاب شدند. ابزارهای مورد استفاده در این پژوهش شامل پرسشنامه تجارب آسیب زای دوران کودکی، مقیاس خودمهارگری و پرسشنامه ولع مصرف بود. به منظور تحلیل مدل پژوهش از مدل معادلات ساختاری استفاده شد. یافته ها: یافته‌های پژوهش نشان داد که تجارب آسیب زای کودکی بر ولع مصرف و خودمهارگری اثر مستقیم و معناداری داشت. همچنین، خودمهارگری در رابطه بین تجارب آسیب‌زای دوران کودکی و ولع مصرف نقش واسطه‌ای معناداری داشت و مدل از برازش مطلوبی برخوردار بود. نتیجه گیری: طبق نتایج به دست آمده، تجارب آسیب زای دوران کودکی با اثرگذاری بر خودمهارگری، نقش مهمی را در ولع مصرف بیماران تحت درمان با متادون داشت. این یافته ها میتواند به عنوان یک مدل سودمند مورد استفاده قرار گیرد و در درمان مصرف و ولع مصرف مواد به نقش تجارب آسیب زای کودکی و خودمهارگری توجه بیشتری شود.
